Rachel Tomlinson from, Buckinghamshire, UK, created today's featured cards.  Both of these Christmas cards use glass snowflakes! Rachel tells us, "I found these glass snowflakes in Crate and Barrel (the US store, but this one was in Dubai!), and thought they were ideal for Christmas cards."

Rachel describes, below, how she made her cards.

"The outside border is a few scraps of sparkly vellum with holly leaves – a UK manufacturer, but last year (or even the year before's) goodies. The middle snowflake pp is an old one by Imaginisce. The card works well in all silver too – I think the paper is by Anna Griffin – but these cards are ideal for using up your scraps!

I used a plain white card as my base, then added the 1cm wide border (that was what I could create with my scraps – smaller or larger would be fine)! I played around with the placement of my silver flourishes (Making Memories), some snowflake confetti, a few bits of bling, and the pink hydrangeas (Petaloo) until I had a pleasing arrangement.
I love the style of Ingrid G and was trying to work on the sort of card she might produce – I love the elegant feel she achieves! This is the nearest I could achieve to her lovely work!"

Thanks so much for sharing your cards with us, Rachel!
