Book Review: Charlotte Moss Decorates

Many creative types, including scrapbookers use inspiration boards/journals as a jumping place to create their art.  In Charlotte Moss' latest book her seventh, "Charlotte Moss Decorates ," she demonstrates how putting together a scrapbook page or collage of inspiration along a particular theme and colours can be helpful as a guide when decorating a room.

"Creating them is something she does as a form of personal expression, but also to focus her thoughts about a project. Moss encourages readers to create scrapbooks with images and objects that delight them – pages torn from magazines, old hand-written letters, bits of embroidery and textiles, a postcard – and describes how these personal talismans can, and will, reveal who we are, and what we want in our rooms."

See a couple of examples below:

"Kip's Bay Sitting Room"

"Laurel Sitting Room"

See how Charlotte turns her scrapbook inspiration boards into a beautifully decorated room. Along with showing images of Charlotte's inspirational collages at the beginning of chapters, this coffee table type book contains over 200 clear and colourful photos of beautifully designed rooms.  Any homeowner would find inspiration from this beautiful book.

"Charlotte Moss Decorates " is new out this week in stores, published by Rizzoli International Publications, Inc.
