Cereal Box Crafts – Repurposing the Cereal Box

I have been looking at cereal boxes in a new light since I've stumbled across these wonderful ideas for repurposing them into something functional and fun!

Wild Olive has repurposed cereal boxes and other paper packaging to make file folders.  I love how she has added other elements as well, like fabric, felt, lace.  Makes doing paperwork so much more interesting!

I tried the tutorial from The Long Thread for making mini books out of cereal boxes and made some shown below.  You can see more of my experiments with this tutorial here , here and here.

Mimi shows how she took a cereal box and turned it into a magazine organizer.  So clever!

The recycled cereal box organizer below is made by Absinthe and Orange.  They have turned the box inside out to use it.  Also, the cut out circles allow you to see the contents easier.

Ofenjen cut up a cereal box to make "handmade by" labels, shown below.  (It reminds me of  some business cards I came across awhile back that were made from a cereal box.  I can't seem to find the link now though.)

Take a look at the cereal box turned into a shadow box for kids here, by Jimmiehomeschoolmom.

Jezzabell13 used a cereal box to make eco-friendly gift box in the photo shown below.  She used a tutorial from Eco Artware.

Oniichan shows a little house that they are making out of cereal boxes.  Love how the 'tiles' are looking!

All the Numbers made gift tags using cereal boxes.  See below.

Oh, and this one we've linked up to before.  The Bella Dia cereal box houses, shown below.

Maybe you're feeling a bit like me and rethinking the idea of putting cereal boxes in the blue bin!
