Eco Scrapbooking Projects

Eco or green scrapbooking often makes use of unwanted consumer packaging. I love how people are taking packaging and turning them into wonderful creations!  Here are some more examples of scrapbooking green that we’ve come across out there:

Jackie Laing reused pop bottle lids to make up some cute magnets.  She gives a tutorial in her blog post here.  One photo is shown below.

Oh my, these recycled boxes by Lizette Greco were turned inside out, have a cellophane window added and now hold little stuffies – how cute!  She shows how to make them in the link. Here‘s another (photo below).  I also love how she has a child’s handwriting on the outside of the box.

I love this idea by Craft Chi for making magnetic bookmarks from bits of advertising and packaging. See photo below.  Full instructions are shown here.

On the Banana Frog blog, Marion Emberson shows how she reused a tin can to make this fun "Pull Me" container.  See photo below and instructions here.

On Design Sponge, they recovered a 6 pack cardboard caddy to make this cute carry all for an outdoor picnic.  This would be a unique way to present a gift also.  Instructions can be found here.
