Buttons as Scrapbooking Embellishments

Here are some ideas for using buttons to make embellishments for scrapbooking and also ideas to make your own buttons!

Adore Neko makes handmade scrapbooking embellishments like these ones shown below.  They are vintage buttons sewn onto vintage sheet music cut into a scalloped shape.  See more here.

Sweet Vintage makes these buttons out of vintage children’s books and cardstock.  See all of them here.

Love these back to school themed buttons from Evalicious

Melbangel made these embellishments with buttons and felt, shown below.

You may remember our tutorial post a little while back on how to make buttons out of polymer clay. You can see that here if you missed it.

Of course, a button post would not be complete without directing you to Tessa Ann‘s adorable 3D polymer clay buttons.  See one photo below and all of the available ones here.

I LOVE these buttons! They are so adorable! Very creative! I have jars and jars (& still more jars! LOL) of buttons all around my house! This fetish came from my Great-Grandmother…. she always kept a jar of buttons and we would sit and play with them while the rest of the family took care of the farm! She also taught me how to sew…. I miss her so much! This button post reminded me of her in so many ways! Thank You for sharing it!
