Scrapbooking Projects for Mother’s Day

Jules Eickmeier made a cone-shaped basket shown below to celebrate May Day.  It would be a great little gift for Mother’s Day as well!  Jules tells us that she remembers making these little baskets as a child.  "We would decorate the paper, add ribbons and hang them secretly on friends’ and relatives’ doors.  They were filled with either penny candies or wild flowers.  I have decided to revive this tradition and am making several of these for friends and neighbors to be given out on May 1st."  See another example here.

Adornit has lots of Mother’s Day project ideas on Georgana Hall’s blog here.  The edible flowers shown below are made by Jana Eubank.  Instructions can be found here.

Another great gift idea for Mother’s Day is to make a ScrapBlog and have it printed.  See our post about a recipe book we made here.  One photo is shown below.  This little book is a collection of my husband’s grandmother’s recipes and memories from the family of her cooking.
