Dioramas and Shadow Boxes

A diorama is basically a 3D scene.  I’ve been noticing a lot of them made using scrapping supplies. Some of these ‘shadow boxes’ are made from box packaging that usually has a cellophane window to see through.  Inside a scene is set up and the results are so intriguing!  Some even have rigged a light underneath so they can be lit up inside. 

Here are some cute ones I’ve come across:

Lana, of Problem in My House, shows a shadow box she made here.  One photo is shown below.

This one is a little different.  It is a little tin shrine with a 3D figure in it.

The pretty shadow box below was made by Brigitte as part of a challenge on the Scrap Sanctuary blog.  There is even a tutorial on how to make the base box yourself.  Click here to see.
