Calendars for the Grandparents

Happy New Year!

One of the gifts I made for our children’s grandparents this year were little desktop calendars.  These are sort of like brag books, by the month!  Each month features photos of our children taken in the same month of the year previous.

Using free digital elements from ScrapBlog, these calendars came together very quickly.  The elements I chose were from a set designed by Kristina Contes.

First, I found a mini custom calendar and saved them it to my computer.  I cropped around each image and saved them individually so I could add them as images to my layouts.  Here is one source for the mini calendars.  After finishing the 12 calendar pages plus a cover page, I saved each image as a jpeg to my computer.

You could always have your creations printed via the site, but this time I decided to print them out myself. Each page was printed out on an Epson R1900 Large Format Printer and cut out.  I bound the pages together using a Cerlox Binding Machine .  You could use a Bind-it-All or another method as well.
