Giveaway: Online Class from Debbie Hodge!

* This giveaway is now over *

Yes!  Debbie Hodge is giving away a place in a new online class!  This class is scheduled to begin on Tuesday and is called, "Scrap Your Everyday Life."  Pictured in this post are a couple of sample layouts from the class.  Below are details of the class as well as info on how to get your name entered into a random drawing for a spot in the class.

Quick! Get the Camera!
The dog’s wearing sunglasses
A tree fell across the driveway
Jill’s balancing a spoon on her nose
There’s a cardinal at the feeder

If you’ve got those shots, we’re going to help you scrap them. If you don’t have these kinds of everyday life photos, we’re going to help you start taking them. I’m Debbie Hodge, and I’m writing the lessons for the "Scrap Your Everyday Life" online workshop starting June 3rd. Paula Gilarde, Sharyn Tormanen, Katrina Kennedy, and Erin Campbell Pope are creating the layouts that will clarify lessons and inspire you.

How are we going to help you?
With 10 classes posted on Tuesday and Thursday mornings throughout June as well as access to a fun and supportive community forum and gallery

In each class:

  • prompt-&-angle lessons: Everyday Epiphanies, Just Us, Friends & Extended Family, Collections, Incident Report, Routines, Outings, Things, Places
  • page-arts lessons: the mechanics of scrapping everyday-life page titles, journaling, photos, embellishments, and the canvas in general.
  • design & organization lessons: design techniques and the practical aspects of organizing, flagging, storing, and locating your everyday-life photos.
  • put-it-to-work lessons: 4 variations sketches each class (12×12- 24×12- 8.5×11- and 11×17-inch formats)

For more details on this class, please click here or here.

To enter your name in the random drawing, please comment to this post.  Please tell us: Have you ever bought the same patterned paper or embellishment more than once, because you loved it so much?  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone back to buy more of Basic Grey’s Lily Kate "Queen Ann."  I have used this paper in many projects and I guess it’s not only the pattern that I love so much, but the colour too – as I’ve mentioned before… I’m a lover of all things green!  Would love to hear if there is something that you keep gravitating back for!  We will leave this open until Sunday night (June 1st) at midnight EST and announce a winner on Monday, June 2nd.

I always buy tons of MM lines, especially noteworthy. Also i tend to buy a lot of all the pink/brown combo lines. And I tend to buy doodlebug a lot. Maybe not the same papers, but they are similar.

I think I’ve bought so much Basic Grey Colour Me Silly I could have wallpapered my scraproom had I not used it on a variety of LO and projects. It was perfect for my (then) > 6yo scrapping subject.

I’m really bad about this because I’m so afraid if I don’t buy extras of things that I really like then they will be discontinued and I’ll never be able to get them again. I love Basic Grey packs also but since they’re so costly and I have to have EACH one, I’ve been hoarding them and haven’t been able to cut into any of them yet because I know that since it’s only one sheet of each paper, once I cut into it’s gone for good! I also seem to have to have the lots of the same flowers that are my very favorites! It’s a sickness, I tell ya!!!!!!!

Yes I’ve done that a ton of times! Sometimes because I love it, usually with BG papers. A lot of times because I forgot I had it as well, lol.

Oh! I just did this with MM Noteworthy-the original release. I can’t get enough of it!

I’m thinking that October Afternoon Detours will be another one I’ll buy more than once. I’ve been resisting any more WRMK Frenzy, too. I might give in soon….

I am a paper addict! I love my patterned paper, and if there is a line I am p[articularly fond of, I will keep buying more sheets. I have so much paper here I could stop shopping for a year and still have leftovers! I would say BG occupies the most space in my office, followed closely by MME, Fancy Pants and Scenic Route although lately companies like Crate paper, Cosmo Cricket and Dream Street are starting to top my list as well…..

I’m a self-proclaimed paper addict! I LOVE Basic Grey papers! I am especially loving Cupcake and Two Scoops right now! I can’t get enough. I’m starting to find that I just want to keep using the SAME paper over and over again because I love it so much! I also find myself using and buying Technique Tiles by Technique Tuesday over and over! I’m running out of ideas to make my pages different using the same products! I’m a sucker for anything new!

Love BG’s Recess line… been using it on my son’s school album. Simply love the colors. My other son is 11 months old… I’m so tempted to buy a whole set for him in case they decide to retire the line.

I am totally addicted to paper!! I buy paper with no particular project in mind most of the time. I just like it, so I buy it and when I get home I generally have the same paper. I also do a lot of scrapping of my sons desert dirt bike races and so I buy a lot of the same papers over and over and try to use them in different ways for their annual calendars.

You bet! I will be looking at papers I like thinking,”Did I already get this? Well, since I’m not sure I better buy it just in case I don’t have it.” I’m prone to buying duplicate sheets of Basic Grey most frequently.
