Handmade Valentine Card a Day – Day 28

lusiaustinvdaycard.JPGWe are nearing the end of our Valentine Card A Day series. To see past cards, please click here. Thank you to everyone who has submitted designs! Today’s card was created by Lusi Austin.

Lusi tells us that, “Although we don’t exchange cards at Valentine’s Day, we try and make it count throughout the year with little special exchanges.” Lusi has shared a creation with us that she is giving to her husband. You can visit Lusi’s blog here to see more of her work.

lusiaustinvdaycard2.JPGI inked the Bazzill cardstock black, up the top of the card. I added some corrugated card I’d received from a boxed pressie and tore some of the superficial layer to reveal the corrugation.

I used some of the My Mind’s Eye phrases and stapled them to this. I used an acrylic bracket stamp from my range which Buzz and Bloom put out. These are from the ‘Straight to the Point’ sheet.

lusiaustinvdaycard3.JPGAfter adhering the stamped brackets to the red card, I drew crooked lines across the centre of the stamp and journaled onto this.

I finished up by adding some lace, an epoxy sticker from a bargain store and some dymo labelling which i stapled down.
