Scrap Magie’s Calendar Kit

I was excited when asked by Marina of Scrap Magie to be a Guest Designer for her calendar kit! Marina has a real knack for putting together gorgeous products from various manufacturers that all look great together. calendarcoverdetailsml.JPGThe kit contains a 15″x7″ blank calendar made by Making Memories. This calendar is uniquely shaped and is also punched on each page to make it suitable for hanging.

You must get a look at the kit contents for this calendar! You will no doubt be inspired when you see it. It is just loaded with gorgeous papers from Webster’s Pages, Sassafras Lass, Basic Grey, K & Company, Rhonna Farrer (Autumn Leaves), 7 Gypsies, Melissa Frances, Prima, and Imaginisce. The selected designs are suitable for a year-round calendar i.e. seasonal and holidaycalendardecdetail.JPG papers and other generic types. The kit also contains rub-ons, stickers, decorative brads, lots of die cut felt pieces, a Hambly journaling overlay, ribbons, flowers and other beautiful and unique embellishments. Take a look here to see all the details.

When I first saw this calendar, my first idea was to create it as a Christmas gift for one of my son’s grandmothers and have a photo of him featured in the monthly layout to reflect how he looked that month in 2007. That way, in 2008, she can compare and see how he’s grown. I thought the journaling block on the calendar page itself would be perfect to keep calendaroctdetail.JPGtrack of birthdays, so with that in mind, I’ve started to log birthday’s of note in that block. Now, I’m not so sure I can part with it! (I hope she’s not reading this!) Either I will be keeping it, or I’ll have to give it away and make another one for myself!

I would be so excited if I was chosen to receive this kit. Yes, I do make ALL my own Christmas cards…there are about 50 or so that I send each year. And I usually make almost all of them differently from each other.
