Follow-up on Using Fabric in Layouts

judyalteredproject1.jpgWe thought it time to do a follow-up on our recent Scrapbook Trendwatch post on “Using Fabric in Layouts.” We’ve had some wonderful artwork shared with us from our readers which we’d like to pass on for your inspiration.

Judy Bidwell of Arizona has been using a lot of fabric in her altered art recently. The first project is called, “Family” (at left). Judy tells us “It has a tea dyed fabric background with additional fabric on top and stitching to hold them in place. I love using vintage lace trim and buttons.” judybalteredproject2.jpgOn her second project (at right) you can see how she used fabric strips and trims and stitched them all into place. Check out more of Judy’s work here on her blog. Those little dresses are so cute!

Melissa McCobb Hubbell, of The Garden of Pink Shadows blog, also uses fabric in her artwork. Take a look at her gallery here showing so many lovely creations. She also has an Etsy shop here.
