Scrapbooking Celebrities

Two Peas in a Bucket has an interesting thread going on how much people would pay for a class from a scrapbooking celebrity. It seems the most common range that people have been paying is from around $40 to in the hundreds, of course depending on many variables. There are some ladies who would not pay a lot for a class like that, but rather spend the money on scrapbooking supplies and get their inspiration off of the web. Others would jump at the opportunity and to quote jeeperz, “I am going, it is my ‘mother’s day’ gift.”

The discussion has turned into whether these scrapbookers should be classified as celebrities or not. BBPea says, “they are genuine, honest-to-goodness real people – not movie celebs that hide behind sunglasses when they travel.” CarolAnn28 says, “I think fame in scrapbooking is just luck, and someone with too much time on their hands to keep on submitting page after page.” I tend to agree with Scrapnmomof2 however in her comments, “Personally I don’t think of these people as “celebs”, just amazingly talented and creative people… I really wish I could go because I’m sure the classes will be awesome.”
