, came out April 3rd, 2007.

Allyson lives in Iowa City, Iowa with her husband Daniel. She tells us how he supports her scrapbooking: “I’ve been happily married since August 2006. Dan has always been very supportive of my scrapbooking.
In particular, Dan can always help when I’m “stuck” while working on a page or project. I can ask “what is this missing?” or “what looks wrong?” and he can always help me find the answer. Plus, I’d guess he knows more about patterned paper than any other man I know.”
Allyson has no children yet, but does have two nieces. “Anna is 3 years old and a long-time favorite scrapbook subject. Katie is 6 months old and turning into quite a cutie!”
Allyson does have a day job, but finds herself doing, “more and more in the world of scrapbooking. I’ve written two books for the Complete Idiot’s Guide series in the last year and a half…plus I got married and moved during that time, so I stay quite busy!”
When asked if she prefers to scrap standing up or sitting down, Allyson responded,
“Sitting down, always. Sometimes on the sofa with my project in my lap, lol. Just a warning though, always rubber stamp on a table or you will get funky results!”
Allyson does manage to find time for other hobbies, “I like to read a lot, and enjoy writing in all forms…I’d love to publish fiction one day. I’m also really into dance and the performing arts.”
A favourite recipe? “I’m not much of a cook, but my husband’s quite wonderful with the grill and a juicy steak.”
Allyson is a member of: National Scrapbooking Association, International Society of Altered Book Artists
