Corinne Delis resides in Alkmaar, The Netherlands with her husband Raymond and two sons, Anthony (8) and Jadenn (4). Corinne says her husband is supportive of her scrapbooking, yet he claims to not be. “Somehow he bought me my camera and lenses, a wide format printer and made me this amazing looking scrapbook room, hmmmmmmmmmm not supportive …. right!” Of her children, Corinne says, “They are my teachers in life, I can learn so much about myself through them. Anthony is a special needs child. He has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS and this has been a challenging ride for us and for him, but we are so proud of him. Everyday is different with him and that makes my life never…boring! Jadenn is a child who is full of joy and even though he looks like a little angel, he is a handfull too from time to time. Having children is a challenge and a blessing all in one.”
Corinne quit her job last year to become a full-time SAHM and to become more active as a freelance scrapbooker/designer. “I try to combine motherhood and my freelance career.” “… I am so glad to be able to fullfill my passion in life.”
Besides scrapbooking, Corinne’s other hobbies are photography, reading and painting. “I must say I haven’t done any of them in the last couple of months but I intend to start painting again, mixing it with some mixed media stuff.”
Corinne is part of a group of 8 scrapbookers called, “The Alliance”. They meet up twice a year to “celebrate life through scrapbooking.” “Our main focus is to keep it all not to serious during these days. We focus on the fun of scrapbooking instead of all the bad talking and stabbing in this industry (YES, it does happen, lol!). We started as scrapbookers, but we are now real good friends, which is such a blessing I think.”
Corinne does most of her scrapbooking during the day. “So whenever the kids are in school or asleep in the afternoon you can find me in my scraproom.” Â She prefers to scrap sitting down!
Corinne shares this great lunch recipe that she received from a friend and just loves.
Toast your bread. Put on arugula lettuce on top, them some goat cheese. And finally add slices of apple on top.
