Christmas Card-a-Day: Day 3

Day 3 of Christmas Card-a-Day is upon us. If you'd like to join in, please read here for submission details.

Today's card was created by JoAnn Burnham from Central Florida, USA.  Please read on as JoAnn describes how she made her card.

"I made this card following My Favorite Things sketch #90. I used MFT ALM- An Apple For Teacher, but I cut her apple off and put an ornament from MFT Christmas Ornaments and die set as I am working on Christmas projects for the grandchildren's teachers and thought this would make a cute card.

The sentiment is from the same set. I embossed the stripes and Joy on the ornament with gold embossing powder and sponged the edge with SU Soft Suede ink for definition.

I used Copics to color the image and paper pieced her top & skirt. I cut her out, mounted her on foam tape and placed her on the text background paper (MME). All other paper is from SU's Festival of Prints pad. I tied SU Cherry Cobbler baker's twine to the ornament.

Here are the supplies used:

Stamps: MFT An Apple for Teacher, Christmas Ornament stamps & dies
Paper: SU DSP, Very Vanilla & Crumb Cake CS
Ink: Mememto Black, SU Soft Suede
Accessories: Circle punches, gold brads, baker's twine, gold EP, Copics"

Thanks, JoAnn!  Please visit her at her blog here.
