Christmas Card-a-Day: Day 14

Today's card, for day 14, is one of my own.  This one was made with Graphic 45 papers, a script stamp from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps, and a piece of string. This card is really very quick and easy to do and thus would be a good one to replicate in a large quantity.

The tree "trunk" is simply a pre-printed sticker from Graphic 45. It would be fun to use a ribbon, or even a little branch glued with a hot glue gun.

To make the tree shaped stamped image, you will need to first cut out a triangle shape to use as a mask.

Gather together the triangle paper mask you've cut out, a stamp, and an ink pad. Place the mask where you want the design, and stamp the image so that it overlaps onto the edge of the mask.  Lift the mask and you are done.

I just love this idea of cutting out the tree & then stamping inside with script! Great one!

This is beautiful! I was just starting to think that I didn’t have a tree shaped stamp set like yours when I read about the mask. What a great idea!
