Doodle Camp, with Dawn Sokol, starts July 21 and runs for three weeks. "Doodling is a form of art but it’s also form of meditation, brainstorming, experimentation, and documentation. I want to help you get your doodle juices flowing. I will post daily doodling prompts (M-F) to the private class blog. There will also be videos on a few different art techniques you can incorporate into your doodling. I will show you how to make a tape-bound journal for the class. We’ll discuss friendship bracelets, friendship sticks, and maybe even cootie catchers! I’ll post sneak peeks at the interior of my upcoming book, Doodle Sketchbook: Art Journaling for Boys(which ISN’T just for boys!). Every student will be entered into a drawing for signed copies of Doodle Diary: Art Journaling for Girls and Doodle Sketchbook, Radiant Rains, and pens supplied by Sakura of America. I will also conduct a discussion about marking tools to give you insight into the types of pens I use." Early bird pricing ($50) ends today, June 30. $55 after that. Register here.
