Currently I’m finishing up a 365 day album that I did for my daughters senior year of high school. I’m getting ready to start a 12 month(12 mini book) account for my son’s senior year. I start these projects the day after they get out of school from their junior year and finish up with their high school graduation. I have several other projects waiting in the wings when I get these done. Thank you for this great giveaway!

My current creative project is in response to a homework assignment from my son’s 4th grade teacher. He’s been tasked to write his autobiography, and it’s been such fun talking with him about his memories from his “childhood” and collecting photos to go along with them!

My word for the year is “Hope” and each week I am picking one Hope quote to have as my Facebook status for the week. My ongoing project is to then put each of the quotes onto a giant playing card and scrap it, so that at the end of the year I’ll have a full deck of quotes about Hope!

What a wonderful weekend that would be. Over the past few months here in Queensland Australia it has been nothing but bad news with floods, cyclones and and now a life threatening illness in our family. My craftroom is my little haven away from all those things and what a joy this weekend would be. I religiously read Scrapscene every morning and you are a bit of a lifeline for we folk in the country …you keep us up to date with what is going on in the outside world of papercrafting. I’m currently working on a quilt I’m making from vintage sheets & linens, but I’m about to dig into some older Studio Calico kits that have been piling up on my desk! lol. My fingers are crossed for this amazing class!
I am fixing to start working on a printer tray with the theme of sewing.
I just finished Lain’s Feb LOAD challenge… so needless to say I have 28 finished layouts that are “laying out” all over my scrap area! Most all of them were Christmas 2010 so my goal this month is to finding and decorating the perfect album to display and celebrate the season. I have a few more photos to scrap and add to the album as well. It is a gift to my mother who nearly lost her life in 2010 to a stroke and heart failure. Christmas with her was a holiday that 10 months ago we thought we may never celebrate again. This class looks perfect to continue my 2011 scrapping goals!

I am currently working on my second “She Art” girl in Christy Tomlinson’s workshop and my ART journal is always on my desk if I get inspired to draw, paint, or write. I have also been dabbling in ATCs lately and have made about 20 little creations. It is a fun exercise in miniatures.

Awesome giveaway! I’m currently working on projects for my tween niece who lost everything in the earthquake in Christchurch. I’m sending weekly carepackets, which make me feel I can help and let her know how loved she is. This weekend I am making a variety of embellished and stamped fabric pouches for some make up and some art supplies for her. Also a little embellished notebook. The question with me would read…”what AREN’T you working on now?”. I started as a scrapbooker approx 15yrs ago, and 1yr ago I got an amazing 2nd job as an Education Coordinator at a nationwide fabric and craft store. With this PT job, I’ve learned to sew,quilt,make jewelry, and work with polymer clay,but scrapbooking is still my number 1 passion. I work all day, and stay up half of the night “creating”. I’m officially a craft junkie! I would so appreciate the opportunity to participate in this wonderful weekend, and I could force myself to take an entire weekend off both jobs. Trust me…I need a whole weekend off!
