We will be running a series of posts over the next little while on scrapbooking trends for 2011. Look for contributions from some well-known and talented scrapbooking designers! Let's get started!
The red cross, the universal symbol for health care aide, is fast becoming popular in the home decor world. As people recognize it's decorative quality, we have seen the red cross symbol abound in other colours besides red, like blue and pink as well. They are appearing on pillows, fabric, wall art, and more.
As we know, trends in home decor and fashion have their way of spilling over into the world of handmade, and more specifically for our purposes, scrapbooking and paper crafting. I imagine it won't be long before this symbol starts appearing in commercially available patterned paper and embellishments. For now, you can make your own red cross quite easily by cutting two rectangular shapes and placing them one on top of the other.
