I have two old sewing machines(treadle) from my husbands grandmother and in them were old lace, buttons, etc. that I have used on my layouts.Look around your house-what have you been handed down that may have something hidden in it!
Great giveaway. I get my layouts looking a little more vintage by sponging brown ink here and there and adding little scraps of old (perhaps tea-stained) fabric. A little stitching here and there helps too.
but destressing the edges of things …
Love the colors in this line!

Oh how exciting!! My favorite way to vintage things up is by distressing the edges of my paper, sometimes with a paper distresser and some ink, sometimes with just some ink. Either way looks great!

I love to use ‘old’ stuff on layouts and projects to give my art some vintage charm. On the last couple of projects I did, I ripped out some pages from an old book, and made some beautiful flowers with it. I also recently purchased some old trim and lace from an antique store. I love vintage trimmings
– I also distress and ink the edges of papers to give them that ‘old’ feel. I just love a vintage inspired design

I love to use vintage supplies like buttons, old sewing notions, and bits of ephemera and vintage paper! Can’t wait to see more from Vintage Street Market–I think they’re right up my alley!
I usually distress with inks and sandpaper.
I use all the afore mentioned methods of distressing and I also age some background papers by weting them lightly, them crumpling them (or running them through crimpers or embossing folders) a few times, ironing them dry and flat and finally, I use my finger to rub inks or chalks into the cracks. I also have a few rubber stamps with images of splotches and coffee rings. I think this line would be perfect for my mother’s pictures from the thirties (she escaped Germany in ’38).
This is gorgeous! I distress ink stuff a lot to add a vintage touch! I also love using vintage book pages and sheet music as backgrounds, along with vintage buttons!
I think that the color combination and the papers give you this vintage look, and of course the images like little kids from the 50′s or old items like a radio, etc.
Well that’s my kind of vintage look!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this line! I have been doing vintage pages and altered items for years…I usually scour flea markets and estate sales…cut pages out of old books, use the figures on the front of vintage patterns etc…It will be so nice to have a line that is new, durable, easy to find and yet has the vintage look.

I am in love!!!! I now have them added to my faces! I am not familiar with them, but soon will be!
I love vintage and to show that on my layouts I do lots of distressing. Vintage anything is good – i distress the edges with almost anything – edge distresser, scissors, sandpaper and then ink it up good! going to be looking for that company’s products now!

My favorite vintage-ifying tool is chalk inks to distress everything. When I want vintage in my crafts or layouts I dig through old sewing supplies, an old reprint of 1860 Sears Catalog, old stamps I’ve saved, the button jar, and old jewelry. I find the digging takes more time…but I always find stuff to use!
