I have two old sewing machines(treadle) from my husbands grandmother and in them were old lace, buttons, etc. that I have used on my layouts.Look around your house-what have you been handed down that may have something hidden in it!

Great giveaway. I get my layouts looking a little more vintage by sponging brown ink here and there and adding little scraps of old (perhaps tea-stained) fabric. A little stitching here and there helps too.

Oh how exciting!! My favorite way to vintage things up is by distressing the edges of my paper, sometimes with a paper distresser and some ink, sometimes with just some ink. Either way looks great! :)

Thanks for the chance to win!

I love to use ‘old’ stuff on layouts and projects to give my art some vintage charm. On the last couple of projects I did, I ripped out some pages from an old book, and made some beautiful flowers with it. I also recently purchased some old trim and lace from an antique store. I love vintage trimmings :) – I also distress and ink the edges of papers to give them that ‘old’ feel. I just love a vintage inspired design :)

I usually distress with inks and sandpaper.

  16. Vianna
Posted 3 years, 3 months ago | Permalink

I use all the afore mentioned methods of distressing and I also age some background papers by weting them lightly, them crumpling them (or running them through crimpers or embossing folders) a few times, ironing them dry and flat and finally, I use my finger to rub inks or chalks into the cracks. I also have a few rubber stamps with images of splotches and coffee rings. I think this line would be perfect for my mother’s pictures from the thirties (she escaped Germany in ’38).

As fashions come and go, I find that I clean out my closets more than I would like to do. So, before donating the lightly worn clothing or tossing out those old well worn jeans and t-shirts, I cut out the care tags and the buttons. I Love adding those original embellishments to my projects! They would look great with this new line!

I give projects a vintage look by distressing a little, inking A LOT, and using vintage inspired papers & embellishments. I’d LOVE to use your new products in this giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I’ve been putting together albums with photos and history of our family going back to 1850..have one finished so far. I love adding parts of old newspapers dated back to 1850…found them on ebay..and of course, using vintage looking scrapbook paper. So fun! Thanks!

I love vintage. I have patterns and notions from the 40′s and 50′s that were my mom’s and greadmother’s, I also use ink to distress paper. for cards, I scan old black and white photos, “paint” them with beeswax and then color them with alcohol inks. I LOVE this paper line. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

Oh…I forgot to answer the question. I use a lot of distress so I can add some vintage/old look on my pages. I am also crazy for Old Valentines card that you can find them at a Flea Market. A nice way to give an vintage touch to your pages is to use some old style carbochon in the middle of a paper/fabric flower. I also love sewing ?crochet some beads (like pearls) as accents as well.
    Thank you

I like to sand the edges of my pictures and papers–love the vintage look that is the only way I scrap VINTAGE

  139. Posted 3 years, 3 months ago | Permalink

To vintage an item or paper I usually rip the edge exposing some of the white paper, then choose an ink to add color to the edge. Some papers I will wrinkle, ink the crumpled parts and iron flat again. Hope I win, I would love to play with your product.
