This past week I was testing out some new adhesives by 3M's Scotch brand and decided to make some Halloween treat bags. My 5 year old son, Lochlan, had a great time making some too! (See his project below.)

For this project I tried both the new 3M Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller and the Wrinkle-Free Glue Stick. They both worked great for this project. The Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller has 49 feet of adhesive and can be easily refilled with a new cartridge when needed. The Scotch Wrinkle-Free Glue Stick glides on smoothly without wrinkling or crumpling the paper. It is also acid-free.

To begin this Halloween treat bag project, here is where you can find the template. I love the little cut-out handle on them as well as the fact that they are really easy to put together. Just cut, fold and glue. To attach the edges together, I used the Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller.

To decorate the bags, I used the Scotch Wrinkle-Free Glue Stick to glue on a pom-pom fringe from Maya Road. To make the pinwheel, simply cut a strip of paper and fold like an accordian and then bend and glue edges together. Mine is a fan shape, so not attached all the way around. Instead, this one is glued to a separate fan-shaped paper piece for support. On top of that I attached a vintage button.

On the back of the treat bag, I used the Scotch Wrinkle-Free Glue Stick to glue on a felt frame cut-out. You could easily print a child's name for inside this frame as well.
