Felt Flower Tutorial

When I first made one of these felt flowers, I realized that it was really a lot easier to make than I originally thought.  So, here are some easy instructions for you to try it too.  These would be great for decorating Christmas gifts, using on a scrapbook layout, on a home decor item, turned into a brooch, or something else.  There are lots of possibilities for these! (Click to enlarge any photos.)

Your petal shapes don't have to be perfect!

When you fold over your petals to the front you'll get a nice little crease made from your stitching.

You could add just about anything to the centre of your felt flower.  Try an old piece of jewelry, beads, or even a little pompom.

If you want to make a brooch out of your felt flower, turn it over to the back and sew on a little square of felt.  To that, sew on a brooch pin back and you are done!  Great for a stocking stuffer.

I hope you give it a try!  You can whip up a bunch of them in no time flat!
