I thought we’d stray a little away from our traditional Speedlink Saturday format this week. We drove out to Manitoba (about a 20 hour drive!) for Canadian Thanksgiving last week and so thought it would be nice to share a few photos with you… non-scrapbook related though!
One of my favourite haunts (as my family knows!) in Southern Manitoba is the local MCC (a thrift shop). Here are a few things I found, but did not pick up:
Pretty thermoses all in a row. That tall one on the left was only 50c!

These ones I did buy. I may put them in my Etsy shop… if I can part with them, that is.

Now for some photos from my in-law’s lovely cabin! As you can see, it snowed while we were there. That’s Manitoba for you!

Todd’s Dad built this cabin when Todd and his sister were young and he has so many great memories here. This is his parents in the photo at left. In the photo at right, Todd’s Mom is reading to Lochlan one evening. He is wearing his "Wild Thing" costume (really a 2nd hand Scooby Doo costume).

OMG!! I remember those pans and the cups! My Godmother had those. She probably still has the cups. lol
That cabin looks awesome and so totally cozy!! I love it. The pictures a great and love the look with the snow.
LOVE those vintage finds! I’m a thrift store junkie, too.
My Granny DOES still have and USE those cups. They probably ARE vintage, though, as I think she’s been using the same ones since I was a little girl.
My grandma had both those cups sets & my parents had/has the brown ones. I’m pretty sure I have some of my grandmas as well.
I’m commenting about those ballerina wide eyed girls prints. Those totally fit my 2 ballerinas to a tea. Do they have any info on them like artist or markings on them?
