2 Giveaways from Log Your Memory!

** This Giveaway is Now Closed **

We've got another great giveaway for you!  Two giveaways, actually! This giveaway is from Log Your Memory.  Read on!

It’s a common scrapbooking dilemma: Tons of great memories; not enough time to scrap them all. Log Your Memory is a new site dedicated to helping busy scrapbookers get their everyday “real life” documented now so their memories are ready and waiting for them when they finally find time to sit down and scrap.

Our featured product is the Scrapbooker’s All-In-One Memory Logbook – a combination 2010 calendar, planner, journal, sketchbook and idea book created just for scrapbookers with weekly challenges, monthly questionnaires, holiday and birthday worksheets, and many more tools to help record those memories as they happen. The book is supported by an active online community, including a forum, layout gallery, chat room, daily blog posts, frequent scrapbooking challenges, and more. We will also be hosting our first online workshop in November, with others to follow in the coming year.

To celebrate our new site, we will hold our Grand Opening SPOOKtacular on Thursday, October 29th through Saturday, October 31st, including challenges, live chats, contests, prizes and lots of great freebie giveaways. Check out our site at www.LogYourMemory.com for more information and a schedule of events.

To help kick off the fun, we are giving away two great prizes on Wednesday, October 28th to followers of ScrapScene. One lucky winner will receive a free copy of the Print-It-Yourself Downloadable eBook version of the Memory Logbook. Another winner will receive one free pass to our November online workshop – “The Gift of the Year: 2010.”  For a chance to win, leave a comment below answering the following question: “What do you hope future readers of your scrapbooks will learn about you?”

I hope they learn all the details that parents never think to tell their kids. I hope they learn that I love Coca-Cola and hate ketchup. I hop they learn that it’s okay to have fun, and it’s okay to be practical.

I hope my scrapbooks & journals show whomever that I love that I love my family & friends, that I lived my life as fully as possible.

I hope they feel as if they know me a little bit. I’d like that they get a feel of what type of person I am. I was struck years ago when I saw a picture of my great grandmother and my mother didn’t know a thing about her except her name. It was sad to me and I have always hoped my scrapbooking would remedy that for my future generations.

  8. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

Most of my scrapping is about my kids, so I hope that future generations learn all about their mom, grandma or aunt. I also hope that they have an understanding of what our lifetime was like. What is important and what is not important.

  9. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

I was just talking about this at a crop this weekend when I was discussing WHY I journal! I know that ten, twenty… or more years from now, the story of the picture, no matter how pretty, will be lost. I want those that read to know the basic esence of who I was and what I liked. That they might have really liked me! I want my kids to have a vivid account of their childhood personalities, long after the memories have faded.

  10. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

I just hope that my memories will keep on living. There’s so many precious things that need to be remembered.

I hope they get an idea how we used to live our daily life!

  12. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

I am scrapbooking mostly for my children, and I hope they will see and remember fun things about themselves growing up! Aswell as their grandchildren tey might have in the future. I think it would be so fun seeing scrapbooks of my parents and grandparent so I’m doing this for mine

  13. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

What great gifts! I hope that my grandchildren’s children will enjoy seeing how their distant relatives lived, loved and worked together. I have so many old photographs UNLABELED from my distant relatives and my parents are both gone…no one to ask! My children (and theirs) will be more likely to hold on to these memories if they are documented.

(OK, that book looks amazing!!) I hope that when people of the future see my scrapbooks, they’ll see not only the big events in the life of me and my family — but also the silly little details . . . and be able to see how different (or the same!) things were!

I hope that my children will get to see some of the experiences I had. I am constantly wishing I new even a little bit about great great grandparents or cousins or aunts/uncles, etc. So if my scrapbooks help fill in the missing pieces later on down the line for someone, then I’m happy. Of course, as I get older I may need them to remember the things I did!

I think this is the prize I have wanted to win the most, it is so cool!

I always scrap with my children’s children in mind.
I want them to know we lived, we loved, we cried, we slept, we were messy and funny. We traveled a little, made it through rough times and we did most of that with FAMILY.

  33. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

I hope my future readers learn how important it is for me to keep memories alive, to enjoy life and to look behind the details! And maybe they can see the love behind each layout.

I hope they learn that life is wonderful, and challenging, and that families and Mommas in particular usually have more in common than they think. That I, too, had trouble be super Momma. My house looks like we have been robbed sometimes, and laundry piles up, and dinner is something just thrown together, but a good sense of humor can help.

that I loved life and my family

  44. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

I hope that they learn that even though our days were always full and busy, that it was the little every day things that were the most treasured. And, those are the little things that are so easily forgotten…..that’s why I want to write them down!

  45. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

I love scrapbooking and I mostly hope that my children in particular appreciate the scrapbooks when I am gone. I hope they appreciate the time and love I put into them. There arent very many pictures of my childhood, my parents destroyed everything during their divorce, if they couldnt decide who would get the items…

I have made it a point to give extra care to preserve photos, even of events I dont care to remember, even my ex husband, because I am trying to preserve their childhood and even it it is something I dont want to remember, it is their childhood, not mine and they very well may want to remember it!

  61. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

Well, I don’t expect they exactly “learn” aomething. I do scrapbook becouse i miss the register of my past. Since I lost my father when I was 5, I don’t know him, and i would love to know more about him. That’s just one example that occured to me now. I want my kids and their future family know who they are, where their from, that kind of stuff.

I want them to see our day to day life. Of course I cover the “big events” too, but it’s the little details of daily life that are often lost. WHen I go back and look at photos from my parents and grandparents, that is what I miss the most…

I hope they learn that I am more than who they know (or knew) – that there was a “real” person who is/was not too unlike themselves.

    oh this looks so cool!

  65. Posted 4 years, 6 months ago | Permalink

I hope that future readers learn about me and my family. Who we were, why we believe in God, that we had good and bad days (not just pretty pictures). The trials and victories we experienced in life. If they learn nothing else they will learn that it is ok to be yourself, that we are ever changing and that what you believe truly shapes how you look at things.
