This year I am making my Mom her Christmas cards to send out to all of her friends and family. I already started them as there are over 40 to create. I am also making a few mini-albums and ornaments to be sent over to Germany to my husband’s family. It should be a busy time from now on until December!

My brother and sister-in-law are fostering a little boy. They finally got the “green” light – they can adopt! He doesn’t have a baby book or anything, so I am making him a “Book of First’s” with our family – First Holiday’s, First Meeting’s…I’m also creating a baby book because the ones on the market don’t fit his situation because he isn’t a baby. I love vintage so this collection would fit right in for his books!

I usually make cards for my immediate family but use photo cards for the rest…..I have made Christmas albums for the past 3 years. It’s a great way to display those photo pics that people always send for Christmas! What an awesome line…..can’t wait to get my hands on it!:)

  9. Posted 4 years, 7 months ago | Permalink

I finished my Christmas cards before school started up again. I’m hoping that will give me more time to work on gifts. I’d love to pull out the sewing machine this year… I’m in a fabric-y sort of gifting mood. Thanks for the great giveaway!

So, my Christmas Crafting plans are to craft a baby…literally, we will have a new little on on December 21. YIKES! So…I am SO DOWN with the December daily concept this year…and I’m working furiously to get things done by Thanksgiving…after that, I’m not sure I’ll do much more than cook and share precious time with my 3-year-old while he is still an only child.

I make as many handmade gifts as I can. Last year I made little gift card holders, but put a book of stamps in each one instead for all my kids teachers and several peeps at our family gathering. Everyone loved them!

That is a super awesome kit! My holiday crafting plans include making my own Christmas cards. I just finished making a mini album of my niece that I am going to give to her mom for Christmas. I’ve already been asked to make another one for someone else for a gift. So it looks like my gifts and cards will be mostly handmade!

I always make at least three double LO´s to celebrate and remember christmas. One to remember Christmas, the other for the New Year´s celebrations and the third one to remember the Dia de los Reyes (Three Kings Day). I also make mini albums for my family (at least five: my parents, my in-laws, my sister-in law and my siblings). This year because of the economy I have decided to give hand made presents ans I have already started looking for ideas.

I make my Christmas cards every year. I like to make them somehow incorporate a photo. I will make some Christmas gifts for sisters. I am think jewelry or charms this year. I have also been working on albums for the family all year. They are year in review albums that I have been doing each month as it passes to complete 9 albums total. They will be done and ready to wrap for Christmas!

Last year I got my Cricut for Christmas. Because it’s my first Christmas with it I plan on making all of my cards. The one craft I would like to do is creating an advent calendar.

This year I will make all my Christmas cards, as I have done in the past 2 years. I’m also making albums for my siblings of our baby pictures. I’m still unemployed, so it is definitely a handmade gift year!

  113. Posted 4 years, 7 months ago | Permalink

I always make my Christmas cards, although I have to admit, I’ve been a lot more practical these last years… More picture than card! then again, when you have 70 cards per year, and always adding new friends, it’s only undersatndable!
I want to make quilts this year, although I really have to make one mini album for my MIL. I never spend Xtmas with my parents, as they live in Mexico and it has been almost imposible to go :(
One of these years, I hope!

I really want to make everyone in my family a homemade gift…..but knowing myself I have set a goal of at least making a gift for every FAMILY ( I am a full time nursing student/wife/mommy) ;)

I always do crafts with my boys around christmas, and we make our own christmas cards. The only horrible part is the family photo. It usually ends in screaming and crying (mostly me lol).

wow these are cool christmas themed tags and advent numbers. I never thought of using music behind the numbers. I don’t scrapbook christmas for me, but my friend just had a baby so i will do a couple of babies first christmas pages for her

I love to make Christmas cards and gifts, but I usually try to come up with a design that I can get done “assembly” style.

I like to make a quick mini album and these tags would be perfect to keep it quick. I also like to do little unique calendars of some sort (still looking for this years!), a few cards and a cute little gift album or book for at least one person on my list. I love playing with all the little things.

This is the fifth year for a Christmas journal/December daily, and it means a great deal to me each year. This year I’d like to prepare it in advance so I have no “designing” to do during December!

  127. Posted 4 years, 7 months ago | Permalink

After last years “December daily” albums every where I’m deciding to make a mixture between this and a christmas scrap album, with christmas day photos, lists, etc. I also plan on making a bunch of cards for my friends and an advent calendar from kaisercraft to countdown the days!! :)

  128. Posted 4 years, 7 months ago | Permalink

Wow the tags and cards are beautiful. I have started making gifts and books for my family for the holidays!
As always I try and scrap a few pages for the family.

Oh this is a really nice kit of yummy christmas stuff!
My plan this year is to make a activity calender for my kids, not a calendar with candys and little toys spread everywhere 5 minutes from when they got it but a calendar with one activity every day in December until Christmas. I will dekorate a nice jar with tickets in it where the activities will be like baking ginger cookies togheter, making christmas cars together, go shopping some christmas craft stuff and making ice candles outeside. I think the time together is so much fun and important.

We decided to give all handmade gifts this year to everyone. The only exception will be that some of the gifts from Santa will be store bought. I have been embroidering towels for my niece and nephews, making special pens for my sister, and knitting scarves for my dad and husband. I am still looking for some more ideas for other family members, but I have a lot to keep me busy in the meantime.

  142. Posted 4 years, 7 months ago | Permalink

Hoping to make my own Christmas cards this year. Definitely will be making and gifting some handmade items this holiday too.

My goal this year is to clear out my stash so I can build it up again! I like to make homemade gifts – as long as I can find the time!

What a fabulous giveaway. I plan to make food gifts along with cards for Christmas. I am also making journals for several people on my list.

Hello there! Last year I won a Shimelle Laine Journal your Christmas class & made a 12 x 12 album over December with a single & sometimes even a double page for EACH DAY! It was too hectic & became a bind so this year I am busy preparing a mini-album (making it from cereal box cardboard) & using circular rings to hold it all together) about half the size of the 12′ album in the hopes that this might be more achievable as it IS a lovely idea to remember all your festive daily details & see how they change each year. All I can fit in is one photo & some journaling & prettying up so any other photos will be used on layouts for our family album & not considered urgent but I would like to do the mini-album in real time as it happens… Not bothering with personalised cards, just sending an e mail LOL! But am making quite a few gifts myself to save money & use up my old stash. Mini-albums, artwork in frames (old ones given a new lease of life, etc)
