each year my mom buys a set of ornaments for the tree (one for each member of the family – 5 children, 4 in laws, and now 13 grandchildren), but since so many will not be able to make it this year for christmas my plan is to my mom her set for 2009 using photos of each family member. i am excited to start holiday crafting!

What a great kit! For this year I plan on sending homemade cards – I have them all made and have had them for a few years, my problem is actually getting them sent – I’m horrible! My goal this year is to clear out my stash so I can build it up again! I like to make homemade gifts – as long as I can find the time!

Hello there! Last year I won a Shimelle Laine Journal your Christmas class & made a 12 x 12 album over December with a single & sometimes even a double page for EACH DAY! It was too hectic & became a bind so this year I am busy preparing a mini-album (making it from cereal box cardboard) & using circular rings to hold it all together) about half the size of the 12′ album in the hopes that this might be more achievable as it IS a lovely idea to remember all your festive daily details & see how they change each year. All I can fit in is one photo & some journaling & prettying up so any other photos will be used on layouts for our family album & not considered urgent but I would like to do the mini-album in real time as it happens… Not bothering with personalised cards, just sending an e mail LOL! But am making quite a few gifts myself to save money & use up my old stash. Mini-albums, artwork in frames (old ones given a new lease of life, etc)
