Brenda Weaver has a monthly post on her blog called, "Makeover Monday," that features projects using items repurposed for paper crafting.  Brenda altered the tin can, shown below, by spray painting it and adding a few details.  It now serves as a plant pot. Here is how she did it, "These cans are recycled large vegetable cans but coffee or baby formula cans would work just as well. I gave them a few coats of white spray paint and attached my note cards with ribbon."

Nerissa Alford found a new purpose for a simple jar.  She altered it to make it a cute storage jar. See photo below "The jar is a repurposed one I received when I bought a jar of buttons.  I wanted cute storage so I embellished it.  I spray painted the lid & added ribbon around the lid.  I used paper ribbon around the jar & added a felt heart & paper crown.  So easy!  I’ve made these as gifts for teachers." More of Nerissa’s work can be seen on her blog here or in her shop here.

Edleen made a scrapbook layout on a 6"x12" piece of recycled cardboard recently.  One photo is shown below and there are more shown here on her blog.

Sandra Curry made a mini album using CDs.  I love how she used her circle punch to make the pages appear as flowers. Here is Sandra’s process: "To make the album I i covered CD’s with cardstock.  (trace, cut out…sand edges and ink). To make the petals I used my circle punch and sandwiched between two CD’s.  (Super Easy) Punch a hole through the CD’s with your Crop-a-Dile. Decorate."  You can see one photo below and many more are shown here.
