Guest Post: Scrapperie Spotlight

Crystal Brothers is our Guest Poster for this spotlight article on Scrapperie. Crystal is on the Design Teams for Scrapperie Kits & Boutiques and also reviews items for Serendipity Scrapbooks.  You can learn more about Crystal via her blog, "Crafty Scrapper Mom."

The spotlight this week is a FABULOUS kit from Scrapperie. Sandi’s kits are just PACKED with lots of goodness and she includes a ton of patterned paper, which is great for a PP lover like myself :) Another thing I love is that there are different kits offered at different price levels ($30, $20, $10 or, the whole shebang for $57.50). The kits are at a discount from the retail price of course, and if you get the whole shebang you get a great selection of papers and there are several from each line included. So, if you are like me and prefer to work with each manufacturer/line separately, there are more than enough papers for you to do that. Or if you like to mix and match, Sandi makes it super easy by having everything already coordinated for you. Here is the fabulous May Kit, Spring into Summer.

And here are some of my projects. I have a couple more that I have completed as well, but the bottom line is that this kit is HUGE!

I made this first one using the Sassafras Bungle Jungle papers that are included in the kit. I just LOVE the way these papers coordinate and the colors are fantastic! I cut out the little trees from the tree top paper and then accented them with stickles. I cut the decorative part of the edge off of one of the papers to make it straight and then I cut the edges to make a faux ribbon.  Not from the kit: Bungle Jungle journaling sticker (Sassafras), Alpha stickers (SEI), Stickles (Ranger).

For this layout, I used exclusively the Cosmo Cricket Snorkel papers. The colors and circles on the papers made it perfect for the lollipop flower.  I took step-by-step pics of the flower so I will post those instructions next week.  Not in kit: Button (fancy pants), Alphas (American Crafts).

I had so much fun with this layout because I just love this picture of my son and I also love the FP Summer Soiree line! I made the red trim, and I have a tutorial coming for that one as well :)  Not from kit: yellow trim (Doodlebug Designs), button (Fancy Pants), Alphas (American Crafts).

And, finally, a card. For this card, I used one of the fancy pants cards from the patterned paper, and embellished it a bit. I cut out the waves and added pop dots for some lift. I also accented the waves and sun with stickles, and used some of the cute FP pins to accent the waves. Not from kit:  stickles (ranger).

And, for our giveaway this week, Sandi has generously offered to donate a gift certificate! So, that is awesome of her and she has some great kits and add-ons at the Scrapperie Boutique.  Please visit my personal blog for the details on the giveaway.
