Mini-books remain a hot trend in scrapbooking. There are several options for consumers: chipboard, acrylic, boxes, found items and wood. Of all the choices, wood gives you the most versatility and will last the longest. It also is the perfect cross-over product for stampers and general crafters as it can be used with nearly any art medium.
Below, are just a few samples of the finishes you can achieve on your wood mini-albums:

Little ones love to look at books about them. They can flip through the pages of wood albums over and over again without you having to worry about frayed edges or wear and tear. They make great gifts and home décor items (check out this super cool mobile!):

The possibilities are endless! So get out your inner artist and play with wood!
