I am so loving these vintage craft books that Todd found. The photos below are of pages from "Encyclopedia of Crafts," from 1975. There are so many great ideas in here, that I have to share them with you. Today I thought I’d show you some inspiration from the books using felt.
Mini felt millinery flowers. We’ve all seen the vintage millinery flowers that are quite popular in scrapbooking and paper crafting projects. Here is an idea of how to make them yourself. Basically, all they did was cut out tiny flower shapes from felt, punch a little hole in the middle of them, and insert little flower centres through. They are absolutely gorgeous in a little bouquet for a card.
This photo is not from the book, but shows one of my cards using some ‘real’ vintage millinery flowers which are similar to the handmade ones shown above.
What about these adorable little houses in a scene all made out of felt! Also, the cute little matchbox covers.
