Jules Eickmeier altered a whirl-a-gig that she picked up at a craft store. Photo at left. Jules also made the no-sew drawstring gift bag shown at right. "I used a high fiber paper and double sided tape to create this drawstring gift bag." Jules downloaded the image from Gypsy Rose Paperie (no longer in business). She printed it onto iron on fabric and used Lumiere paints to create highlights.
Amy Wilges whipped up this basket (at right) as a teacher’s gift in just 1/2 hour. "The ‘box’ is a white lunch sack cut down. The base it sits on is a 12×12 sheet (trimmed a bit) and rolled to make "legs" for the box to rest on. Basically all is cut and curled paper. Chatterbox paper & trim, MM chipboard swirl, MME woven label, Hero Arts gemstones, felt heart hand cut by me and rubbed to make ‘fuzzy‘." Amy will be wrapping the whole basket in clear wrap. You can see more photos of it here on her blog.
