Scrapbooking Trend – Sweets

Sweets

This will end our 2 week feature on trends.  We do have more that we will be posting here and there in the near future, however.  To see them all, please click here. Which one is my favourite?  Besides the fabric and canvas thing which I absolutely love, the others I am partial to are not necessarily new ones: clouds, trees and woodgrain!   How about you, what do you like?

One cannot help but notice the trend in sweets lately.  Cupcakes, ice cream, candy – who doesn’t like that stuff?!  You may think that cupcakes are "so last year," but they are continuing to thrive, only now they are joined by ice cream and other sweets!  Why not add a non-edible cupcake to a scrap project… it’s a whole lot less calories than eating one, or two, or…! (For more ScrapScene posts about cupcakes, please click here and don’t miss a dedicated cupcake post here!)

Cupcake stickers can be purchased from The Tiny Fig.  One photo is shown at right.

Maya Road has chipboard cupcake coaster books available in two different styles.  I used two to make this thank you card at left for my Mom’s birthday!  They also have a cute cupcake stamp available here or a nice set of different style cupcake stamps here.

Blank board books in a cupcake shape area also available from C&T Publishing.  This one is designed by Angela Daniels.

Caroline Lau, from Maya Road, made these cupcake cards and shared a tutorial for ScrapScene readers.

Andrea Wiebe shows a cupcake card here, along with a tutorial.

Deena Ziegler has a cupcake card kit – see sample at right.  Watch for new kits coming available soon. Also, take a look at the ice cream tag here.

Sissix has a delicious looking cake die available. See photo at left. This one was designed by Brenda Pinnick.

Imaginisce has an ice cream stamp in text available here.  Also, their ice cream paper print, "Chocolate Double Dip," is shown at right.

Meg’s Paper Craft has printable ice cream images available for sale in an Etsy shop.

Love these die cut ice cream cones by White Fluff Designs.

Ice Cream die cuts are also available from Angela Lee Photography.

Darlene’s Creations sells a cute ice cream-themed ready-made scrapbook layout in her Etsy shop.

Cupcake Tree sells a handcarved cake stamp.

Sassafras Lass has a cupcake "Feltie" available for embellishing.  Photo at left.  They also have cupcake, ice cream and popsicles in a stamp set.

I just love this cake paper piecing by Julie Collings.

You can take a look at my cupcake card made from paper I painted and had printed at Craft Sassy at right.  Also, I have to share my polymer clay cupcake charms at left. :)
