Scrapbooking Trend – Birdcages

First it was birds!  (We are by no means over birds yet!) And, now there are bird cages!  The shape of a bird cage reminds me a bit of chandeliers which we saw a lot of last year and continuing into this year.  Maybe it’s the the shape and maybe it’s the silhouette…  Here are some bird cage themed products and projects to show a bit more of this trend.

When I think of birdcages, the first scrapbooking product that comes to mind is Hambly‘s clear overlays, "The Birdcages."  They also have rub-ons with a birdcage in it, "Out on a Limb."  One photo is shown at left.

At right is a layout made by Anne Jo Lexander using some of Hambly’s products.

Pam Garrison has a free PDF image of a birdcage available as an embroidery pattern.  She turned it into a beautiful stitched sewing machine cover.

At left is a bird project made by Jules Eickmeier using a KnK Kit and Graphic 45 papers which is displayed in an old birdcage.  Jules says, " I love how this looks on my table and, because the birds are different on the front and back, I can place it on a
coffee table for variety
."

You can get birdcage wall decals to decorate your home from Decorette.

A handcarved birdcage stamp can be purchased from Craft Pudding‘s DaWanda shop.  Photo is shown at right.

Who can resist this sweet birdcage necklace by Just Be Designs.

Take a look at this amazing altered birdcage by Carole Janson.

Hero Arts makes a "Bird in Cage" stamp also.

You can purchase a digital collage sheet featuring antique birdcages from RebelSher.

5 Dollar French Market sells a set of 8 birdcage tags.   One photo is shown at left. Great for embellishing a scrapbook page.

Love these Paris Birdcage Tags from Digital Paperie.  One photo shown at right (and also above).

Here are some "Birdy Tags" featuring a nice birdcage image from Darling Dilly Dilly.
