We have been receiving lots of great looking projects for Valentine’s Day from some very talented scrappers. Here’s a few to get started. Lots more to come!
Jenni Smith shares this garland she made for Valentine’s Day last year. Photo is shown above. "I received the SEI "Chocolat" line from a contest I participated in last year at A Million Memories as well as this cute Clear Heart album…instead of mak(ing) an album I chose to create a LOVE banner to hang in my scraproom to celebrate the holiday. I used the same line’s embellishments (stickers, etc) to decorate the banner, and some bare Basic Grey chipboard letters that I covered in patterned paper. I then used my Cropadile to punch holes in each clear heart to tie riboon through to connect each one together…it’s small so it needs only a small space to hang like a bookshelf as shown in the picture, and so simple to make!"
Chris Pozzi made this Valentine card (at left) using her KnK January Kit. "I was aiming for a card that was(n’t) so flowery for Valentine’s Day and loved the comination of Black, Cream and Reds. To add some sparkle I "painted" the chipboard key with glue and sprinkled with Doodlebug Glitters."
Jen Benoit shows a keepsake project she made for her husband. It’s little love notes on ribbon wrapped around a ribbon spool. Photos are shown below. "I, like many scrappers out there, have tons of ribbon spools left over. Being inspired by Bethany Kartchner, I took a spool and got to work. My project is: one empty ribbon spool, one piece of scrap paper (red Hambly), Valentine rub-ons (unknown manufacture), pens (red and black), Glimmer Mist (Burnt Red), chalk (red and black), a long piece of white paper (about the same length as the ribbon that was on the spool was) and a poem."
