Shadow Box Ideas

John Dilnot Shadow BoxShadow boxes can make a great gift for someone.  I love the little scenes that people create in them!  So many cute ideas!

Here’s a cute owl in a shadow box by MMMCrafts.

This John Dilnot shadow box also has owls.  Love the rustic look of this one.  Photo at left.  There are lots more beautiful ones on his website.  I love the birds too!

Magical Pony Farm made the sweet gnome diorama shown at right.  This would be so cute in a child’s room.  Check out their Etsy shop here.

Don’t you love this little clothesline diorama here, by Yvi’s Tortentraume.

This diorama by a little girl makes me want to try this with my son!

Here’s a little scene all put together inside an old alarm clock, by Cedar Junction. They’ve got lots more beauties here.  I love the ones in glass jars!

This shadow box display by Jenny Edwards has so many pretty handmade paper designs.

And last but not least, I cannot resist Kate of Artful Blogger‘s adorable dioramas.  The one shown here is called, "Ballet Recital," and is so charming!

Past posts on shadow boxes can be seen here and here.

Two things… (1) Did you see the in-store marketing Starbucks had for fall? They had shadow boxes lined with paper, some printer’s stamps, and wire card holders holding message tags. It’d be a very cool home decor shadowbox. (2) Finished shadowboxes at the craft store can be pricey… I found some drawer organizer boxes at Bed, Bath, and Beyond that would make the cutest shadowboxes. They come in all sizes, too.

    Thanks for the inspiring post!
