Marisa Grosson, from British Columbia Canada, made today’s featured card for day 12 of our Handmade Christmas Card a Day series. For past cards, please click here. For more ideas and inspiration from Marisa, please check out her blog here.
Used stamps from the Vintage Christmas Stamp Collection of Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamp. Vintage Santa image was stamped with Onyx Black Versafine on white cardstock and then colored with Lyra Aqua Colors. Used an Opaque Inkssentials white pen for the beard area.
Used an oval Coluzzle to cut the image and edges were sponged with Walnut Stain. Used a Versamark stamp pad on the front of the oval and heat embossed with clear UTEE several times.
Holly leaf border was done by curving the leaf stamp from the Vintage Christmas collection and stamping on white cardstock following an oval shape. The Holly leaf border was colored with Tombow markers and hand cut with scissors on the inside and outer edges following the stamped pattern. This was mounted on top of the main image.
This piece was then mounted on to an oval scallop red cardstock. Background DP from Harvest Floral/Vine – Mustard Moon was hand torn on all edges, distressed with Walnut Stain and then sewed on to the green and red cardstock. Red and Green cardstock was also distressed just on the edges with Walnut Stain. Added ribbon and Happy Holiday metal sentiment.

I enjoy very much the Card-A-Day feature. Though I’m not a traditional cardmaker/scrapbooker, I find inspiration in the beautiful creations exhibited. I hope you will also represent HYBRID and DIGITAL cards as well, as the field is definitely expanding in that direction (it is how I create). Thank you and keep up the good work! This is a fabulous site, and I know how much work you put into it. Best wishes.
The cards have all been great but I have a real love for the vintage look. This one really appeals to me! Lots os detail!
What a great card! I love all the details!
I would like to compliment Marisa on this VERY beautiful card. TYFS! Well done! Loving this card a day feature, Angie.
