Happy World Card Making Day!  Hope you all get some card making in this weekend!  If you’re looking for some ideas and card sketches, Susan Costanza has started a new blog called, "Card Sketch a Day."

These miniature bowls out of egg cartons and paper really look quite simple to make and oh how cute!  Photo at left from Zakka Life.

ErinZam has some really unique things in her Etsy shop.  I love the idea for this Mini Tag Book. Photo at right.  She uses lots of recylced materials in her mini books.

Rebecca Sower is such a creative sort – just take a look at how she displays her ideas in a "Creative Swipe File."  This is a piece of art on it’s own!  Rebecca tries out an idea in a project and if she likes it, she does it again on this cloth so she won’t forget about it for a future project.  She just keeps adding ideas to this cloth.  If she had not have said it was a "Creative Swipe File," I would have thought it was a piece of art!

Looking to "make an impression" with your handmade cards?  Take a look at this stunning cutwork card by Jeffrey Rudell.  He makes it look so easy!  Scroll down in his post to see a tutorial.

Greta Baksa wrote an interesting article about Mini Books for A Million Memories.  You can read it here.

Elsie Flannigan resigned from her position with K I Memories.  She will no longer be designing the Love, Elsie line.  Fans of Elsie (that would be me!) can look forward to seeing her in future independent projects like design work, books and a little teaching.  Of course, she has also been designing custom papers and embellishments and selling them in her Etsy shop here. To read her post on the subject, please click here.

Here’s a cute idea for a school-themed picture frame by Kelli.  This would be a great way to use up those extra chipboard letters and numbers you may have hanging about.  Don’t throw them out!

We were saddened to learn of a fellow scrapbooker’s tragic passing.  Aleida Franklin was a talented scrapper as well as young wife and mother. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.
