Speedlink Saturday for Week of Sept 7/08

Jess Gordon, of Scrapbook Ideas, has given ScrapScene a blog award, "Brillante Weblog."  Thank you Jess!

On one of Jess’ links, she led me to the blog of Emily Giovanni where I found this cool tooth fairy tin.

Brigitte Grant, from Australia, has teamed up with her 2 french online friends, Maodren and Candyneige and started a new blog called, Scrap Sanctuary.  This is a blog for challenges, info and events.  It is French-based, but Brigitte plans on using her English for other visitors around the globe!

Donna Downey shows a photo of her pretty framed fabric layouts that were recently returned to her from CK Media from her newest book, Fabric Scrapbooking.  These are framed in embroidery hoops.  If you’d like to another idea for these hoops, please click here.  Speaking of Donna, she has recently announced on her blog that she is no longer contributing to Simple Scrapbooks Magazine.  You can read her post here.

Sheila Daniels, of Cheeky Magpie, made a nice insect display for a local library.  She used real insects (entomology is also a hobby of Todd’s, by the way!) backed with patterned paper.

Daisy D’s Paper has confirmed in their latest newsletter that they will be shutting their doors if the company does not sell. They are still planning on staying open through the rest of this year and into 2009, however no new products will be designed.

Don’t forget to watch ScrapScene during the week of  the 17th to the 24th!  We will be having lots of great posts by Guest Bloggers – lots of  tutorials and scrappy articles too!
