Giveaway: Online Class from Get it Scrapped!

** This Giveaway is Now Closed **

Debbie Hodge, from Get it Scrapped!, is giving away a spot in a new online class taught by getitscrappedbacktoclass.gifTrish Turay to one ScrapScene reader! A peek from “Back in Class” can be seen at right. Please read below for information on the class and for details of the giveaway.

Trish Turay is the founder and Creative Director of Work in Progress Scrapbooking kits. You can learn more about her here on the bio page.

About the class:

“Trish teaches this popular sell-out class at retreats and in local scrapbook stores, and now she’s bringing it online. You’ll complete an entire school-memories album (preschool to 12th grade) from start to finish in her 3-week class.” Class begins August 25th and runs through until September 14th.

“Complete an enitre School Memories album with 2-page spreads for every year of school (preschool through grade 12) along with dedication page, autograph page, and other “break-outs” for field trips, sports, and special project. Trish shows you how to include artwork, articles, report cards and other documents.

If your children are older and their photos and papers are in a box waiting for organization, this album will give you the framework you need to make them accessible. If your children are younger, you’ll love having this ready-made place for annual photos and memorabilia.”

Read more about “Back in Class” here.

Now for the giveaway:

Please comment to this post by Tuesday night August 19th at midnight EST. A winner will be selected via an online number generator and announced on Wednesday, August 20th. Please tell us about your school-related scrapping, if you’ve done any. Looking forward to reading what you write!

I haven’t caught up with my son’s school album-I started it years ago after my first creative memories “party”-I am always making mini albums, and plan to do one for my sons last day of freshman year pics as soon as I get them off my memory card!! I would love to win a spot in the class:)

Ohmy, this class sounds SO great. I am a teacher, and while I have scrapped some of my own experience in the classroom, I haven’t begun a book for my daughter–and this would be a perfect way to start!!

The class sounds like a neat one.
As for school related scrapping….I have made an album of each year of my children’s school years. My oldest will graduate this year, but she still wants me to do her one for college. We love looking back.
One piece of advise: keep current. It does not take much to get really far behind. :)

Sounds like a great class! I have some pages done for each of my kids, but I also have a box for each of them where everything I save gets stashed. I have dreams of going through them and getting them organized and scrapped.

I could use some help in this area! I have not scrapped any of my own school years, and I have only several pages for each of my kids (a two page spread with their school portraits on one side and their class photo on the other for each year… not very “personal”). I would love to win a class! Thank you for the chance!

I’m currently doing my nephew’s primary graduation album and I’m also scrapping the college graduation album of me and my brother (way back 1993). Sadly the photos were tarnished since we just use a magnetic way back then, so I’m scanning them and fixing the photos using photoshop before I scrap them this time using acid and lignin free materials! Thanks to modern scrapbooking!

This class sounds GREAT! My dd is still young and I would love to hav soething done already and just add picturs as we go along. I hate playing catch up. And I can use the ideas to do the first 12 months of her life. I would like to do that and give them as gifts to the Grand parents for her 1 year old BD Party in November. I think now would be a good time to start. SO Pick Me!

I made a scrapbook (old magnetic album) for my daughter and son when they graduated highschool in the early 90′s. My daughter asked me to redo her school album which I completed and gave her as a Christmas gift last year. She loved it and I have fun redoing the album for her. Now I’m into my grandchildren and their school years.
