Joanna Campbell Slan has a new scrapbooking mystery coming out this September called, Paper, Scissors, Death: A Scrapbooking Mystery.
This is the first book in the Kiki Lowenstein Scrapbooking Mystery Series. Kiki Lowenstein, the main character is a widow and single mother who finds herself the prime suspect in a murder investigation.
Rebecca Ludens, of About.com, says the book "is a page turner, who-done-it, filled with colorful characters, scrapbooking tips, and down home recipes."
Also watch for book two in the series, "Scraplifted," due out next summer.

It was only a matter of time … I used to needlepoint constantly and read the Monica Ferris mysteries. Now that I’m almost exclusively card-making (tho’ I HAVE recently ordered a year-long set of monthly themed ornament canvasses so I’m getting into stitching again), I find an author with a scrapbooking theme! I was just telling a buddy today I thought I’d start diet and needlepoint-related blogs … does this mean I should be reading?! LOL!
Well, if I didn’t have scrapbooking in my life, I would go stir crazy! It is relaxing for me and I can relive all those wonderful memories, over and over!
I can’t wait to read your books! They also sound relaxing and fun to read.

I’ve recently had a negative change in my life and I’d love to get lost in a book and forget my troubles for a while. I enjoyed read the “lost” children’s series; Amoung the Hiddlen, good, fun, spense novels. Thank you for your consideration.
