The Who's Who of Scrapbooking

Inspired By: Beatriz Jennings

Beatriz (Bety) Jennings inspires us today.  Take a look at a few of her cards shown in this post.  They have a sort of shabby chic feel to them, but at the same time bring something new by the addition of retro elements.  Take a look at the strawberries card, "Sweet," for example.  The realistic-looking strawberries give this card a retro feel which is such a fresh style!  Bety made this hybrid card using papers from Shabby Miss Jenn for a Scrappinerie challenge. Here‘s another retro-looking strawberry card using fabric.

I love the details and texture to this next card, "Adorable." Bety made this card using a kit from Scrapbook Heaven.

Another card made for Scrapbook Heaven is this one at right, "Cherish."  I love how Bety took a die cut scalloped circle and cut it to fit a portion of the card shape.

Also, take a look at the tulle used on this pretty card.

Last, but not least, we have to draw your attention to this puffy heart card. Bety cleverly used a chipboard heart to create a puffy heart from fabric for her card. See one photo at left.  See more of this card here.

Bety is an interior designer by trade, but loves cardmaking and scrapbooking too.  She is on the design team for Rose Moka, Say it with Letters, Scrapinerie, Scrapbook Heaven, and Your Scrapbook Stash.  Bety is originally from Mexico, but now resides in the U.S.A.  Take a look at her blog here for more of her work.
