The Winter 2008 CHA Show officially began yesterday, but today it is in full swing! The show is running until Wednesday. Many manufacturers save their big reveals until the show. New Scrapbooking Tools First there was Sissix, Cuttlebug, Cricut and now Making Memories is unveiling the latest generation in die cutting machines. The "Slice" (shown above left) is a personal die cutting machine which is not only digital, but portable too. This hand-held device can cut shapes and fonts up to 4" tall. You can watch a video demonstration of the new tool here on the MM blog. Make sure you have the right Cricut cartridge and join in the fun! Glitz it Now has a new stamping tool out. The "Roller Doodle" stamps a row of doodles onto your artwork. It is available in 12 designs. A photo is shown above right. You can see more photos of it here on the Glitz blog. New Scrapbooking Embellishments Melissa Frances has unveiled new embellishments for scrapbookers. You can get another peek at it in their latest newsletter here (scroll to last page). Architectural resin comes in many beautiful designs as you can see in the photo above left. Prima has some great clear tape available in many different designs.Â Love the one that looks like a UPC code!Â See a photo below.Â They also have "Belle Fleur Carnations," which as you can see by the photo below, are just gorgeous!Â
New Scrapbooking Paper Teresa Collins‘ Journal-It collection of papers is a must have. Take a look at the calendar paper for instance. This paper is so versatile in it’s possibilities: from layouts, to mini books, to calendars. The months are filled in, but the date boxes are not, so you can fill them in to correspond to any year you wish. You can see this double-sided paper here and a mini flip top calendar made by Teresa at left. Other Scrapbooking ‘Stuff’ Page Frames has new patterned clear acrylic albums plus new shapes also.
