There are some absolutely gorgeous handmade scrapbook albums being made out of fabric lately. Have you noticed them? They usually are made from scraps of beautiful fabrics, sometimes vintage, and are embellished with applique, hand stitching and other scrapbook paraphernalia. Perhaps you’ve also been inspired by them. I would love to give this a try sometime! We’ve linked you up to a few below:
We recently posted the fabric covered album pages that Donna Downey made that will be soon turned into a kit you can buy. Donna covered a Maya Road album with fabric and used pinking shears and hand stitching around the edges. The album is held together with grommets, the pages have somewhat frayed edges and it has a somewhat vintage quality about it. One photo is above. You can view more of Donna’s fabric albums here.
Jacqueline Yeo, of Singapore, makes beautiful fabric covered albums as well. Her work feature lots of detailed appliqued designs. Two are shown below. You can purchase them in Jacqueline’s Etsy shop, “For the Record.”
