This book is loaded with beautiful layouts and projects in Prisca’s signature style and many of them feature her adorable children. I love how Prisca is able to put a lot into a page and still have it appear so beautiful and frame-worthy, as though everything belongs. There are some altered projects included in the book as well, such as an altered egg carton, paper dolls in a diorama and take a look at this adorable altered doll’s bed with built-in mini book, shown below.
In Prisca’s book, you will see lots of techniques with samples and instructions on how to complete a similar look yourself. Such things as photograph tinting, using acrylic paints and watercolours, fabrics, chalks, flowers, transparencies and much more. Each of these materials and techniques are shown along the vein of creating your artwork in a shabby and vintage style. Although, the book is written in French, you can still gain a lot from it even if you do not understand the language.
Scrap du Shabby au Vintage comes in a handy small size; perfect to take with you to crops for a little extra inspiration.
