Speedlink Saturday for Week of May 6th

Angedawn – National Scrapbooking Day – Recap … “I spent more money than I have in a while picking up some goodies…” Haha – I’ll bet there are more people who spent more than normal!

Lisa at Question Everything – Here’s another scrapper that went a “little nuts” this year during NSD (National Scrapbooking Day)

On the Red Line – Here is a neat post about Walmart and scrapbooking supplies. Is there such a thing as a ‘scrapbooking addict?’ Maybe there should be a support group for that!

Father’s Day Gifts, Kids Style – “When it comes to offering Dad gifts in honor of his special day, younger children will likely find that handmade gifts from the heart are ones Dad cherishes the most. Here are a number of heartfelt, crafty ideas that children can put together for Father’s Day.”

Correcting Sticker Placement – Thanks to The Mad Cropper for pointing us to this tip.

Scrapbooking on MySpace – “Tech-savvy teens and 20-somethings are taking scrapbooking from paper albums to cyberspace or, perhaps more specifically, to MySpace.”

Scrap Magie - There are some great new tutorials up at Scrap Magie. In particular, check out this detailed layout by Marina Simakova made from a greeting card which uses rub-ons and acetate. Also this layout by Josee Rouleau where she shows how to make your own large scalloped circle shape using a bowl and a corner rounder punch!

Amyw’s Scrap-a-lot – has a nice list of scrapping freebies.

Intro to Scrapbooking by Scrappindipity from Australia. If you’ve never scrapbooked before here is a neat ‘how to’ get started.

Scrapbooking Dads – here is an interesting article and discussion about scrapbooking and men. Is your man involved?

Marissa Bowers, Design Manager for Memory Makers Books has started a personal blog called, “The Other Side of Me.” This site is meant for “inspiration and will show snippets of my graphic design work, my scrap pages, art journal pages, and probably mostly – my photography.” You can see it here. Marissa is going to start work on Ashley Calder book soon.

Martha Stewart Show – here is a report and some pictures from Martha’s unveiling of her new scrapbooking line. Thanks to Julie from Lasting Memories for this report.
