Where do you get your inspiration for scrapbookig projects? How do you organize your scrap magazines? Do you keep them all, or dare to pull them apart to take out what is inspiring to you?
Awhile back we posted about Elsie Flannigan‘s “Inspiration Journal” that she made to help find her creative style and provide her with inspiration. (Page shown at left). Now you can see how
Christy Tomlinson stores her pages of inspiring ideas for scrapbooking. She tears ideas from magazines and other sources and puts them in this binder. (See a photo below, right). Christy got the idea from Courtney Walsh, who also does something similar.
How do you keep track of all your inspiring clippings? I, for one, tear up my magazines also because I don’t like too much clutter.
Here is a photo of a page from my inspiration journal (below left.) They have color combinations and other things to inspire me to create. I have several of these, mostly little blank books with photos glued in, but I also have a binder with page protectors for larger clippings – much like Christy’s.
I would love to hear and/or see what you all do – what ideas do you have to share?
