More Cheap Scrapbooking Ideas

As a follow-up to our article, “5 Ways to Save Money on Scrapbooking Supplies,” we received some great comments and emails that are worth sharing.

Mary Schneider mentions that she loves those premade chipboard albums, but since they are a little pricey has found an alternative.  “So I have tried the heavy toddler books and just resurfaced them with cool papers and stuff. These handy books have been found at local garage sales and thrift stores for the pricey amounts of 5-25 cents .”

Wise Bread has posted some interesting ideas on making greeting cards. Click here to read their article, “Make 5 Cheap Greeting Cards that Blow Hallmark Away.”

Sue of The Scrapbook Store Locator says that she recently returned from Disney and saved a lot of bits of ephemera to use in her layouts, “ticket stubs, brochures/maps…, the cardboard display holders snatched from the hotel room, imprinted napkins…. you name it!”

We have a class each month dedicated to “cheap” cards. It’s called 5 for $5 and yes, we create 5 greeting cards for just $5. We think they’re pretty cool cards and are featured on our blog for anyone to copy.
