Colors! What color should I use for the background? What color should I use to accent this great photo? Title color? I don’t want to draw attention away from the photo but then again I still want people to read the journaling. We all, at times, struggle with color composition in our layouts. The choices can be overwhelming especially with digital scrapbooking where the pallet is virtually unlimited. However, the folks over at Adobe have put together a new tool that makes color anxiety a thing of the past. Its called Kuler and it is cooler than any other color picker we’ve tried (sorry about the pun, I just couldn’t help myself.) Alister Cameron, Blogologist extraordinaire (and in terms of full disclosure, our Blog Consultant) recently put together a great review of the Kuler tool. He even demo’s the product (which, by the way, is free – for now) by showing exactly how to develop a custom color pallet from a photo using Kuler and Photoshop. It is easy!
The uses for a product like this are endless and not just limited to your scrapping. From coordinating party decorations to setting up a color scheme for your living room, Kuler is an easy to use and ultimately useful tool. So head over to Adobe Labs, check it out and let us know what you think. We would love to hear your comments about it.
